A friend of mine, Brian Elliott, ran 210 miles across the state of Minnesota in 9 days. I had the chance to help out for a few days and even run the last several miles with him to the Wisconsin border. With me, were my 7D, Tokina 11-16mm, and car mount, so I threw together a short promo showing what this Venture Expeditions alumnus was up to.
I have been asked to travel to Scotland next week and help document the Jason Harms Quintet as they travel through the country playing numerous gigs with an aim to “come alongside the local church and serve them in serving their people the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” Andrew Laparra (the other videographer going on the trip) and I shot the following promo video to help give a better idea of what we hope to do in Scotland.
If you have any interest in learning more about the band or the trip or would like to help with the cost of the trip, you can visit jasonharms.com or email me at: tristan@sulvaproductions.com

A few months ago, Sovereign Grace Ministries contacted us about developing a creative promo video for their upcoming conference, NEXT 2011. They were wonderful to work with and gave us almost completely unfettered creative control.

A few weeks later, we ended up with the following video.

For those interested, we used a Canon 7D, Panasonic GH1, and an assortment of lenses – with Canon’s 60mm f/2.8 macro getting the most playtime.
Earlier this year, at their Pastor’s Colloquium in Deerfield, Illinois, I had the opportunity to shoot a series of videos for The Gospel Coalition alongside Marty McAlpine and Andrew Laparra, with Lukas Naugle producing.
It was a great experience and I’m really happy with how the videos turned out – thanks in large part to Edd Blott‘s editing and grading.
